PREMISETwin pregnancy is associated with a high risk of perinatal, as well asmaternal, mortality and morbidity.1–3 Intensive antenatal fetal surveillance is associated with a lower risk of stillbirth.4 The excess perinatalmortality and morbidity is higher in monochorionic than dichorionictwin pregnancy due to the placental anastomoses invariably presentin the monochorionic placenta.5 This guideline will cover the care ofboth uncomplicated and complicated twin pregnancies.
