users on whether the sharing of medical care are and nursing
information with family by our system would be useful. We
had participants actually use the scale and pedometer
displayed in figure 2 and check the notification messages
displayed on a smartphone. The answers of the 88
participants (ages 10-19: 6; 20-29: 35; 30-39: 11; 40-49: 12;
50-59: 3; 60-69: 1) are as shown in figures 4 and 5. In
response to the question, “Is this system suitable for medical
care and nursing?”, we received a positive evaluation, with
more than 90% answering either “Strongly agree” (60.3%) or
“Agree” (33.8%). In response to the question, “Would you
like to use this system in the future?”, we again received a
positive evaluation, with more than 80% answering either
“Agree” (54.4%) or “Strongly agree” (32.4%). While
conducting the survey, participants expressed their desire for
a function that would allow them to select the scale in
displayed messages to show a graph of measurements
recorded by the scale up to that point. In the future, we
intend to give consideration to coordinating with externa
services based on the contributed data.
