LITERATURE REVIEW
When a potential student wishes to pursue a degree
from any university, he will collect information
from many resources. The resources are usually
categorized into three categories[8]:
a.
Controllable sources
– sources
controlled by the university like
brochures, pamphlets, university
prospectus, and university banners.
b.
Non-controllable sources
– words of
mouth from friends, family, students
studying at the university, teachers,
school counselors, and admission
officers.
c.
Partly controllable and partly
uncontrollable sources
– sources from
the internet. The controlled source is
the university official website and the
non-controlled sources are from blogs
and other specialized providers.
After collecting all information needed,
the student will start browsing programmes
according to some factors set by him. Different
students will have different set of factors to be
considered when selecting any degree programme.
