As indicated in Chapter 6, this Automatic Grinder is designed and built to mince all kinds of fresh or frozen, pre-chopped or guillotined, meats commonly used in the production processes of sausages and other meat products.
The composition of these meats can vary depending on their origin, part and type of animal, but primarily consists of lean meat, animal fat and tissue from different animal organs, except hard and solid parts such as carcasses, bones, beaks, hooves, etc.
As indicated, before entering the grinder’s hopper, the meat must be pre-chopped or guillotined into pieces of an appropriate size for the feed screw to be able to continuously trap and convey it to the grinder screw until the hopper is completely empty.
It is highly unadvisable to place whole unsliced blocks of frozen meat into the hopper as the feed screw is unable to slice or break it up.
The automatic feeding system precludes the need to manually push the meat to be minced towards the grinder screw as the entire contents of the hopper is conveyed by the feed screw to the grinder screw.
This Automatic Grinder can also be used to mince other food products, usually vegetables, provided that the properties of the raw materials used are similar to meat in terms of consistency, plasticity, adhesion and density.
