Before this, there have not been any researches of synthesis nickel titanate (NTO) yellow nano-pigment using sonochemical method. Moreover, it can be claimed that new strategies for nanomaterials synthesis are of vital importance in the advancement of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The main purpose of this study is the synthesis of NTO nano-pigments by sonochemical processing method using titanium tetrachloride (TiCl4) and nickel (II) chloride (NiCl2·6H2O) as raw materials, and purified distilled water (PDW) and ethanol as solvents. Developing an innovative low temperature (50 °C) synthesis method for obtaining NTO nanocrystals has been studied. Since, the investigation of solar radiation properties of NTO nanopowders is rarely reported, their optical properties is characterized and discussed. The obtained results suggest that these NTO nanoparticles have great potential in serving as cool pigment for building coating.
