When asked about the level of technology applied to the
current waste management system, 214 respondents
(51.7%) of the total sample think that the system should be
operated with technology. However, when asked to go into
detail, 44% of those respondents think that technology is
applied at a moderate level, 38% think that only a little
technology is applied, and 16% think that there is a marginal
level of technology used in the waste management
system. This result highlights the fact that Bangkok residents
feel that technology should be applied a lot more to
increase the effectiveness of the current waste management
system. In terms of what extent the application of
technology impacts the effectiveness of the waste management
system of Bangkok, results from chi-square association
testing show that many technologies need to be
applied at each stage of waste management. Table 3 shows
