In reforming the whole channel management system, one critical part is forecast. I need your assistance to provide us with forecast of critical / volume items that would be needed in the coming 3 months. This exercise is important and we need your submission of such forecast by latest 25th of each month. I understand that this month will be late and thus I’d appreciate much if you can send in your forecast by tomorrow.
Please note that for some items, like consumables, the production lead time will be 90 – 120 days. In the past, May Lee just did the forecast based on historical record. However, when we are expecting more sales (and our Q1 sales has indeed significantly over last year), the input from your side will be more critical.
In case we didn’t receive your forecast, the only way we could do is to trace your historical record but like what I said, you’d face the risk of inventory shortage of certain items that you might critically need.
Another piece of information we need from you is the project pipeline. This is to register the project that you are already working so that we can monitor and render appropriate technical pre-sales support. Of course, this will also be useful to minimize any conflict among partners. FYI, the company has assigned Warren, who is our regional technical team head, to handle the region’s forecast and project pipeline.
