Effect of Temperature on H2S Removal. The effect of temperature on the H2S removal capacity of the biofilter is shown in Figure 6. Experiments were performed at 20, 25, and 37 °C at a flow rate of 72 L/h. The temperature did not affect the removal capacity of the biofilter when the inlet H2S concentration ranged from 0 to 60 ppm. Once the inlet concentration increased to 100 ppm, the removal capacity gradually increased with increased temperature. The H2S removal capacity increased by 20% when the temperature was raised from 20 to 37 °C. The temperature increase did not affect the
removal capacity of the biofilter at low inlet concentrations, e.g., 10, 20, and 60 ppm. This phenomenon is due to the performance of the biofilter in the diffusion-limited range
