Finally, there is a need to develop scientific assessment and
training systems aimed at improving the low-level managers’
execution of a people-oriented safety culture. On the basis of the
design of the mine’s ESC, a strong evaluation system of the lowlevel managers’ execution of the mine’s people-oriented safety culture strengthens supervision and directs the emphasis onto the
combination of a standard design of evaluation criteria and the
miners’ actual needs so that the people-oriented level embodied
in the leaders’ behavior is equal to or just exceeds the miners’ true
needs. As a consequence of this, the IRFB will increase. It is necessary to add people-oriented training and management awareness
to the training programs of junior managers, and the methods to
implement this in the workplace, so that the miners will be able
to sense that the junior managers’ commitment to the mine’s
safety culture is sincere.
