Groundwater vulnerability to pollution is the tendency and likelihood for general contaminants to reach the water table after introduction at the ground surface (SNIFFER,2004) or groundwater vulnerability is a function of the geologic setting of an area, as this largely controls the amount of time, i.e. the residence time of the Groundwater that has passed since the water fell as rain, infiltrated through the soil, reached the water table, and began flowing to its present location (Prior,et al.,2003).
