The implementation of the TPD in the UK was conducted by the Department of Health (DH).
The prohibitions on non-broadcast advertising were written into UK legislation via the
Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 (TRPR or “the Regulations”). The
prohibitions on broadcast advertising were placed directly into rule 10.1.11 of Section 10
