An ideal introduction would be straight to the point. There would be no unnecessary detail and it would focus solely on the problem you are researching. Each of the student examples was very straightforward with no redundant information being uselessly thrown around. They each gave detail about what they were researching and why the problem was relevant in that field. They use quotes that had direct connections to what they were discussing. Nothing was thrown in to fill space. I read both examples with ease and had a clear understanding of everything they put forth. They were excellent examples of an ideal introduction and I hope to use their examples to guide my own.
