In the present work, a constrained predictive control combined
with differential flatness is employed for efficiently manage
the dissipative energy. First, optimal profiles of both the
stator currents and rotor speed are provided using flat trajectory
generation [15]. The profiles are obtained by minimizing the
energy dissipated on the machine resistances while satisfying
the constraints. Then, a constrained MPC optimization problem
which satisfies the a priori given profiles is formulated.
Simulations and comparison results between our approach and
the MTPA principle for trapezoidal speed profiles validate the
benefits of the proposed approach.
