Perhaps this was how the entire waterfall system got the name Erawan, which was a three-headed Hindu God where each head resembled that of an elephant's head. Unfortunately, our guide told us that the full-flow state that would've revealed all three "trunks" hadn't been witnessed in a while due to diminishing rainfall. Could this be a consequence of the global climate change and subsequent instability? In any case, it didn't happen for us so we didn't linger here much longer.
