If you were to step back and look at most charitable and notfor-
profit organizations (NPOs), one thing you’d notice is that
almost all of them try, in some way, to make a positive contribution
to the local, national or global community. The key
word here is community. That means they are social entities
and have a high probability of benefiting from the latest social
media trends taking place on the Internet. Unfortunately,
many people attracted to working or volunteering for NPOs
lack expertise with the latest technology.
