The results of the present research supported the line of findings reported by several authors stressing the importance of family and peer variables as risk conditions, highlyrelated with adolescent heavy alcohol consumption. Thisstudy could fit successfully a structural equation modelingwhere parental monitoring, father---adolescent relationshipand complacency to drinking pressure by peers, confirmedas causal variables of drinking behavior.
