Chatillon penetrometer, fitted with an 11 mm tip (AME-TEK, Largo,
USA). Soluble solid contents were analysed in the juice using a
digital refractometer (Model PR-1; Atago, Tokyo, Japan) and TA
was assessed for the same samples by titration with 0.1 N NaOH
