I'm Mrs.Natthalak Pakdeenarong from the Central Institute of forensic science, Thailand. I went to ASCLD/LAB Internal Auditor Training with you in Singapore last April.
The Central Institute of forensic science, Thailand will apply to ASCLD/LAB certification in 2017. I have to ask you some issues regarding the certification standards as follows:
1. If a laboratory do any tests and reports in several categories (in 1 discipline), but the laboratory want to apply the ASCLD/LAB accreditation only one or two category. Can we apply for ASCLD/LAB accreditation on additional category for next year?
2. In discipline of Trace evidence (Fire debris, Explosives and Fibers & Textiles) have been integrated together from 2 laboratories in CIFS (Chemistry and Physics lab) due to the use of equipment and personnel of both 2 laboratories. There is also issued a joint report between 2 laboratories in 1 case. How to apply for ASCLD/LAB accreditation in this case? Is it necessary to rearrange the Trace evidence test to a group?
3. If the laboratory has several drugs testing, but there is no reference standard for some types of drugs in the laboratory. The laboratories tried to solve the problem by taking a known drug is a reference standard. Can we apply for ASCLD/LAB accreditation by report these drugs without the ASCLD/LAB certification logo? (Organization that evaluates the ISO/IEC 17025 in Thailand allows issuing a report without the ISO/IEC 17025 certification logo).
4. Please describe Categories of testing in discipline of Drug chemistry. (Controlled substances, Quantitative analysis, General chemical testing and Clandestine laboratory).
