CONCLUSION
The capability of the use of sea mussel shell and
natural clay for removing Cd(II) from aqueous solution
was examined. The present investigation showed that
the mussel shell and natural clay beads can be
effectively used as a sorbent for the removal of Cd(II)
from aqueous solution. The adsorption kinetics of
Cd(II) on sorbent was found to follow the second-order
kinetic model.
