During May, I intend to invite everyone, online and real life (students/friends) to an informal after-wedding party, with the idea of celebrating the joining matrimonially of myself and Nichanun Chaisopa on April 11th. Going to Thailand shortly will include a traditional thai wedding with 5 buddhist monks and all the pomp and ceremony involved and a trip to Bangkok to apply for a visitors visa so she can return with me for the 6 months allowed. I realise it's 6,000 miles for the majority of you and therefore impossible to come but circumstances dictate the ceremony and visa is done in country so the idea of a UK based get-together will allow people who know of me on and off line to come and meet us and enjoy the party. I personally have one favour to ask, that is if you're thinking of a wedding gift to give, I would really appreciate a gift of money. I understand some will think it a bit of a cheek, but the reason for asking for money is because in 6 months time we will have to apply for a settlement visa allowing her to stay for 6 years, and this visa without flights, is around £2,500. some of you will know my personal circumstances are not great, and my work/wages has been forcibly reduced by the medical battles i've suffered in the last couple of years. the happiness i have discovered could be lost to not having enough money. if 200 people came to the event and gave £10, that is a huge step towards seeing my wife stay in the UK. i do have a hope for more than 200 because I teach 200+ per week, and I have 400+ FB friends. Anyway, thanks for reading and RSVP if you can attend an event likely in WILTSHIRE, UK date unknown at the moment due to not having the visa yet!
