Mary loves the beach. Every summer her parents would take her to the beach. They would play in the water, build sandcastles and watch sunset together. Those are the happiest moments for Mary and she never wants it to stop
This summer is no different, Mary's parents decided to take her to the beach again. Mary was very excited that the day before she couldn't sleep at all. Her dad had to convince her that if she doesn't get any sleep then she wouldn't have the energy to play. Mary finally listened to her Dad and went to sleep
That morning, eating only a small bowl of cereal, Mary ran straight to the car. The ride to the beach for Mary was long. She couldn't sit still as she kept fidgeting. She thought of many ways she could have fun on the beach. Even though Mary has gone to the beach many time, that day she was still extremely excited. Her family would sing a lot of songs while traveling. When she arrived at the destination, Mary immediately ran to the beach
The first thing she did were taking off her shoes and dipping her feet in the water. Mary loved that feeling of the waves crashing into her toes. It's kinda ticklish
Mary then took off her clothes. This morning she was too anxious to go to the beach that she wore her swimsuit inside her clothes. She then ran and dove into the water like a fish that had stayed on dry land for a long time. At school, teacher taught her how to swim so Mary's not afraid of drowning. Mary would love to show her swimming skill in front of her parents. She did frog, breaststroke, backstroke. She truly looked like a mermaid. When she was tired of swimming, she just relaxed her body and let it float. Mary looked at the clear blue sky and thought she might be able to grab it if she extended her arm. Mary felt so free
Building a sandcastle was also something Mary enjoy doing on the beach. She can express her creativity through various shapes and sizes while building sandcastles. Mary remembered she once built a very big, big castle with her mom but it was destroyed by some people who carelessly kicked a ball into the it. She was really sad that the castle got destroyed but she immediately started rebuilding it again because her mom said she that if you start something all over again, you could make it much better
Mary had her lunch on the beach. She had a big hamburger. On the beach, people would usually eat seafood but Mary never wants to eat fish. She loves the ocean and the fish so eating them is something Mary cannot do. Her parent really had a hard time convincing her to eat fish but she never listened
After the whole day playing on the beach, it was time for Mary to go home. Mary didn't want to stay and watch the sunset. Getting in the car, Mary's dad asked "So did you have fun today?". Mary answered "Yes dad, i had a great time today". Mary's dad then said "That's good to hear honey. Now, are you ready to head back to your mom's place?"
Mary's parents got divorced last year. When she found out about it, Mary was pretty sad. But she never showed her emotion because she never wanted her parents to worry about her. The only thing she could do is to go to the beach every summer to relive the memories of her and her parents when they were still together in a happier time
While still remembering about the past, Mary finally gave an answer to her dad "Yes dad, i'm ready " with a big smile on her face
