In school A, four children participated in the intervention
and three children increased their reading score. This was a
very small school and the children participating in the
research represented 28% of the year group in this school.
In school B, 15 children participated in the research representing
14.5% of the year group. Of the 15 children who
participated in the research, 10 increased their reading score
and five children did not. In school C, 14 children participated
in the research representing 40% of the total number
of children in the year group. Of the 14 children who participated
in the research in school C, the reading score for
four of the children decreased, for one child it remained the
same and for nine children it increased. In school D, 20
children participated in the research representing 53% of
the total number of children in the year group. The reading
score for four of these children decreased, for five children
it remained the same and for 11 children it increased.
