Following the morphogenetic features proposed by Blair and
McPherson (2009), the alluvial fans can be described in three main
parts: inner, mid and outer fans. The inner fans (proximal facies) are
located near the apex, they have a reduced extension with a coarse
heterometric grain size (from 64 to 4096 mm).
