The 4 months training includs product knowledge (food & beverage), service procedures, passenger handling, deportment and grooming, language and communication skills, safety equipment procedures and first aid. During this period HRM motivate and help them to improve.
After attracting people, developing people, HRM’s further job is keeping people in the performance. This process is compensation and remuneration. No doubt, remuneration is the most direct way to motivating and keeping people. Singapore Airlines have good system of this. Employees will be paid a basic salary during training. Upon graduation, people can look forward to a basic salary and various allowances amounting to about SGD $3,500 a month. In addition, there is an annual wage supplement of one month’s basic salary and profit-sharing bonus.
