Refer to the above case.
Upon obtained the Survey Report from Era, may we summarize the damage as below:-
1) Container No. TRHU1872291 – 1 drum leakage, 9 drums slightly dented, no leakage and covers closed, and 70 drums good condition.
2) Container No. BMOU 2562272 - 18 drum leakage, 23 drums slightly dented, no leakage and covers closed, and 39 drums good condition.
We have discussed with the surveyor and MSIG’s claim handler, they both considered that 32 slightly dented drums (9+23) have no leakage as well as the covers closed as normal condition. So, they would like you to re-check if 32 drums could be used as original intended because the cargo inside did not contact any dirt or air.
Anyhow, the surveyor found that some of cargo contained on wooden pallet were exceeded from the pallet, that caused they can be contacted together or container’s wall and got damage. So, the surveyor would like you to provide more information as below:-
1. The photo at the time of containers’ doors opening
2. Explanation of cargo stowage into the containers from Supplier or parties who provide the cargo stowage.
3. Issue a claim letter to the Supplier
4. EIR (Equipment Interchange Receipt)
