This lens has the following issues with it's condition:
* There has been a knock on the front edge which makes the original lens cap a little stiff to get back on.
* The focus ring functions throughout it's entire range BUT it is stiffer in the centre of it's range. I have followed advice and lubricated the focus ring which has improved things - it wouldn't be a problem for taking stills, but for smooth hand held video focusing, choose another example!
* There is some minor fungus on the extreme outside edge of the back side of the lens (see picture). I don't believe this affects image quality at all since I can see no evidence on my photos or videos through this lens. See my example photos above, taken with this very lens, with an adapter fitted to a panasonic GH3, to see the amazing optical quality, amazing bokeh!
Aside from those issues, I have been absolutely loving this lens very much on my micro 4/3rds camera, the shallow depth of field you get from f1.4 aperture is really something! It's also perfect for tripod video work as it lets in so much light.
Good points:
* lens is not hazy
* aperture blades clean and nice and snappy
* auto-aperture function works well if your vintage camera supports it
* manual aperture ring works great.
Included accessories:
both original (front and back) takumar lens caps included.
