WHY I WANT TO BE A VETERINARIAN.
The Veterinarian field interests me in many ways. There are many benefits, and a few shortcomings. Veterinarians have the ability to heal various animals right before their eyes. Veterinarians also have communication skills, allowing them to connect with the animals’ owners. They are respected leaders in their communities as well because of their caring heart for both animals and humans. The Veterinarian field is also diverse. Veterinarians have a part in aquatics, public health, livestock, exotic animals, and small household pets. Veterinarians often have to stay up all night caring for a sick animal, or meet an unkind owner. The career also asks that Veterinarians work in harsh conditions, such as snow or rain. Therefore, the Veterinarian profession has many benefits and pitfalls that interest me. Nevertheless, I do not see these pitfalls from stopping me from acquiring this career. I see them as challenges that make the career all the better. I have wanted to become a Veterinarian ever since I could remember. I have always been mesmerized by the knowledge that Veterinarians have. I was amazed when we took our dog into a Veterinary clinic, and the doctor knew everything about how the body works and how it should respond. As I have gotten older, I have realized that there is more to the profession then just healing animals. There is communication and leadership involved as well. Animals have always been a part of my life. I live on a farm where we raise beef cattle.
