In this paper, the author will introduce a
method that is relevant to understanding the
workings of labour law using an economic
analysis of law perspective, as opposed

to the perspective that has typically been
used in legal analysis. Several publications
have discussed economic analysis of law in
general, but few have focused on labour law,
the best of which are by Davies (2004) and
Posner (1998).
