However, considering the heterogeneity observed among some
species in the same genus, it is necessary to analyse the 50 taxa
in the Fabeae tribe jointly, in order to determine which species
show a more adequate protein profile, regardless of their genus.
To do so, using the K-means algorithm three clearly distinguished
groups of taxa have been established in relation to their essential
amino acid contents, protein richness, digestibility and nutritional
parameters (Table 3).
