Per Bobby's suggestion, now I am discussing with Ingersoll Rand about strategic purchasing of their air compressor. It will cover: 1. Group price for air compressor, 2. Group price for spare parts, 3. Technical support on energy saving, maintinenence solution. The agreement will have two choices, one is exclusive purchasing and another is non-exclusive.
Our current situation is that all ASAP factories except THL only use Ingersoll Rand air compressors. If we sign exclusive agreement, that means we will only purchase their air compressor later on. As for the benefit, I will share with you later. Now please check with your related department and get their feedback on it(considering comparison of price vs performance with other vendors, maintenance, service, et).
