The most common methods for separation
of active constituents in C. asiatica
are liquid chromatography and
macroporous [2, 3, 15]. LC with different
detection systems are among the most
widely practiced methods for triterpene
saponins analysis. However, in the reported
LC methods, the separation of
different triterpene saponins in C. asiatica
still has a great extend for improvement.
Reports on the mass spectrometric
analysis of triterpene saponins in C. asiatica
have not been reported.
