Context and participants of the study
The participant of this study were 103 grade 10 students who study in Trang Province, Province, which is located in the South of Thailand and they learnt the concept of cell in semester 1 of academic year 2013. Science instruction in class is mostly organized in lecture. The student hardly conduct science experiment and hand on activity. Therefore, the students may lack of scientific inquiry skill. Students have less participation in learning and receive content in biology from the teacher only that we will call passive learning. Thereby, the student cannot relate structure and function between organelles in cytosol of cells and cannot retain content when they study in next chapter so they always fail in midterm or final test.
