a cutoff line to divide subjects into 2 groups: high and
low workload groups. Although the high workload group
(n = 119) did have higher symptom scores and symptom
frequencies for the shoulder, neck, back, and upper
extremity regions than the low workload group (n = 84),
none of the differences reached a significant level (P N .05).
According to bivariate analyses of workload and
symptoms, all the subjects with a high workload tend to
have higher symptom scores than the low workload group;
however, only the scores for the lower back region reached
a significant level (lower back, OR, 1.89) (Table 3).
