Congratulations to you for being nominated as a buddy to Kusuma Sriveeranurat, Contract Customer Service Representative, effective 1 August 2016 for her first 30 days. Many thanks for your strong support and participation to the new employee buddy system.
We would like you to know a bit more on the roles and expectations from a buddy.
A buddy is a peer or manager within the units who acts informally to provide support and guidance, as well as serves as a sounding board for the new employee.
.
• Listen, challenge, encourage, and inspire
• Provide constructive feedback (does not function as a supervisor or evaluator)
• Help the new employee step away from a problem to see the bigger picture and available alternatives
• Maintain confidentiality
• Be available to answer questions that the new employee may have
• Help the new employee understand policies and procedures
• Be a resource to other information as appropriate
In order to maximize the success of this program, we need your active participation and input. Please pass on any ideas you may have about how to make this process work more effectively.
Thank you once more for your contribution to accelerate the development of our new EA TH family member.
* Attached is the checklist & Buddy System Overview that covers the things that we suggest the buddy can start up with. However, you are encouraged to implement your own ideas and thoughts around how you want to provide support and guidance to the new employee.
