Khao Nampu Wildlife Conservation Development and Extension Centre is located in Tha Kradan Subdistrict, 55 kilometres away from Kanchanaburi City Centre. If you take the highway 3199, it is situated between the 38th and 39th milestones. As an office under the Salak Phra Wildlife Sanctuary, it is a centre for learning about the natural world with animals for research and studies. Giving visitors a chance to get to know more about nature, the centre also provides two nature trails. The first one is for those who would like to discover flora and fauna. It will take you about 3 hours to complete the journey. The other which runs through different landscapes, e.g. streams, plains and hills is a hiking trail for learning about the natural world around the Nern Din Daeng Area. Visitors will have to spend an hour travelling along the latter.
In addition, the centre provides a youth campsite.
