Due to its large specific surface
area, the 5 vol. % CNTs/Al composite formed at lower stress
(20 MPa) had a corrosion rate that is much higher than that of
the composite formed at 50 Mpa. The 5 vol. % CNTs/Al composite
formed with 20 MPa exhibited hydrogen generation rate
of 120 ml/min g, which is 3 times higher than that of the 5 vol.
% CNTs/Al composite formed at 50 MPa, as can be seen in
Fig. 8(a).
