Open cell metal foams have been extensively investigated in the
thermal transport application field due to their high porosity and
strong mixing capacity, as well as in the development of sintering
technology for metal foams. Consequently, they have become a
focus in industrial applications. For example, Zhao et al. [1] studied
heat sinks in metal foams during electronic cooling. Ismagilov et al.
[2] investigated exothermic and endothermic reactions in a catalytic
heat-exchanging tubular reactor, while Raviraj et al. [3] analyzed
the chemical reactions of methane with hydrogen on
catalytic surfaces covered with metal foams.
