Figure 4(b) shows that the simulated photon flux
Pnanotubes can be absorbed and effectively converted
into photocurrent in nanotube CdS-CdTe solar cells.
Photon flux Pnanotubes was simulated on the basis of
the measured transmittance spectrum for the CdS
nanotubes and the absorption coefficient of CdTe for
the AM 1.5D spectrum. As shown in Fig. 4(b), the
simulation demonstrates that the unique optical
behavior of the CdS nanotubes yields a greater overall
photon absorption enhancement for the nanotube
CdS-CdTe solar cells.
