2.3. Histopathological analyses
Formaldehyde-fixed skin samples were embedded in paraffin.
Six lm sections were cut and stained with hematoxylin and eosin
(HE) or Masson’s trichrome. Immunohistochemical analyses were
performed for the evaluation of type of AQP1-, 3-expressing cells
in the skin. Deparaffinized sections were immersed in 0.3%
H2O2-PBS for 30 min to block endogenous peroxidase activity.
