Manchester United have reportedly been urged to make a swoop for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan. Talksport reports that Serie A based club Ac Milan have entered the race for the German International signature thereby prompting call for Man Utd to act fast. However though the Okd Trafford club are said to be confident about securing a deal for the 24-year old player.
Widespread reports in Germany and England had suggested that United were set to announce a €30 million deal for the 24-year-old midfielder this weekend.
However, sources had told ESPN FC on Friday that, although the Germany international has told Dortmund he wants to leave this summer and United are interested, there was no truth to claims that a deal was already in place. Those with good knowledge of the player were in no doubt that a fit Gundogan would be a tremendous asset to Louis van Gaal should the deal go through.
Gundogan has already hinted in. He want’s off the island and those with the highest compression believe that Manchester United is the destination of choice. As Gundogan’s contract ends in mid 2016th, he wouldn’t be too expensive. Keep an eye on this story as it will surely gain moment
