considering that the selection of these evaluation indexes for low- carbon tourism attraction is based on the consideration of the use for natural tourism attractions rather than cultural tourism attractions. Additionally, the system can be viewed to have a limi- tation for its subjectivity of rating and evaluation standards of the index system considering that the low-carbon evaluation indexes were first screened using the Delphi method. Expert opinions and advice were sought, and the indexes were then modified based on the experts’ suggestions using the AHP, which means that the selection of indexes is, to a certain extent, based on the subjective judgment of experts, possibly leading to underrepresentation. Therefore, it is suggested that researchers interested in capturing the full picture use more diverse and balanced indexes in the future. Finally, as one of the first few groups of researchers studying the evaluation index system for low-carbon tourism attraction, we look forward to future research efforts to expand this increasingly important topic area.
