Methyldopa was the commonest prescribed antihypertensive as monotherapy (17.3 %) as well as in combination therapy (i.e. 28.8 % with methyldopa and Nifedipine). Conclusion: Our study concluded that the incidence of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy was high. Methyldopa was the commonest prescribed antihypertensive in monotherapy and combination, as it is safest during pregnancy.
