Consequently, the main aim of the present study was to investigate
whether both the 1-2-3 Magic Effective Discipline for Children
parenting program (Phelan, 2010b) and the 1-2-3 Magic &
Emotion Coaching parenting program (Hawton & Martin, 2011)
would be effective in reducing dysfunctional parenting and child
problem behaviors, particularly when delivered to large groups of
caregivers with children spanning the program-recommended agerange
