used as controls for genetic diversity analysis and as references for control of allele sizing variation between electrophoresis runs. Nipponbare was not included in genetic diversity and pairwise analysis aimed to compare Thai and IRRI germplasm. Genetic structure of the Thai accessions is very limited, but most of them were classified
by morphology as Indica rice. Young leaves from 3– 5 mature plants of each accession grown in greenhouse were collected for DNA isolation using the CTAB method (Murray and Tompson 1980).
