With respect to the container, an important factor is the number of lines available in the glass packaging/bottling company. It is also of interest to ascertain whether the industries in the two countries have similar equipment. The equality of variances cannot be rejected in any of the three Levene’s tests carried out. Subsequently, three independent sample t tests were carried out to see whether the average number of lines available, their average productive capacity and their average use are similar. In general, the results show that no significant differences exist for these factors between Spain and Belgium (Table 4). Only in the case of use of lines may differences be appreciated, and with a significance level of only 0.10%. The average use in Spain of glass packaging/bottling lines is slightly higher than 62%, while in Belgium it barely exceeds 46%. It therefore seems that the packaging/ bottling mechanisms are better exploited in the former than in the latter.
