Abstract- This paper analyzes two micro-grid (MG) topologies based on micro hydro power plants (MHPP). The first MG topology is based on a classical synchronous generator (SG) and on an induction generator (IG), while the second one contains two induction generators. The goal is to compare each topology capability to ensure a stable micro-grid operation in autonomous mode and comply with the power quality standards. Simulations are carried out in order to highlight the reliability of both MG structures.
