Each subject completed a POMS and BPI baseline as- sessment at time zero, a second assessment at the end of the fifth week, and a third and final assessment at the end of the tenth week. All subjects in the intervention (AE) group met with an exercise physiologist and were instructed on how to take their pulse (carotid and radial artery) and how best to follow the exercise prescription. Baseline assessments were completed under supervision, and the second and third as- sessments were mailed to each subject for completion and return to the study investigators. Completion of these as- sessments was 100%.
