As per the Thai labour protection & welfare regulation, every organization which has at least 50 staff needs to elect a staff welfare committee consisting of at least 5 members.
Most of you have a Welfare Committee already, however in case your hotel doesn’t have a welfare committee yet, please make sure to organize yourself to have a Welfare Committee as soon as January 2015.
If needed, please see the attached documents for your info on how to set up and roles & responsibilities of the committee as well as sample documents which need to be submitted to the area labor department (meeting needs to be held every 3 months).
By November 15, we will request each Hotel HR Manager to send us your Welfare Committee meeting schedule for the year 2015.
After each meeting, we will also need you to send us both meeting agenda and minutes.
