It is a managerial innovation that emphasizes an organization’s total commitment to the customer and to continuous improvement of every process through the use of data-driven, problem-solving approaches based on empowerment of employee groups and teams . By practicing TQM, Dell increases their customers’ satisfaction as it can reduce cost by the elimination of process inefficiencies, thus the company can offer better performing features at the relatively low price expected by its customers. TQM system also plays an important role in the enhancement of innovative abilities, the ability to exceed customers’ quality expectations by differentiating the company from its competitors.
