He broke his wrist back in November.
And this week Drake Bell revealed that his doctor has told him he may never play the guitar again.
The 28-year-old star took to his Twitter on Sunday to post a gruesome picture of the surgery scar on his wrist.
The former Nickelodeon star shared the snap with his 501K followers with the caption: 'Doctors say I will most likely never play guitar again. it's over.'
According to a Wednesday report from TMZ, the musician was at his brother's house for a birthday party in November when he dove into a shallow pool while horsing around.
He slammed his wrist at the concrete bottom, which left it shattered.
After the cast was removed last week, physicians informed him that he will never play the instrument again as it is too taxing on his limited mobility.
No doubt the news was crushing for the actor as the guitar has been essential to his career on both screen and stage.
It also comes as a tough time as he released his third-studio solo pop album Ready, Steady, Go! last April as his music career has continued to grow.
He is best known for his role on Nickelodeon kids series Drake & Josh, which he starred as himself in the co-lead role along with co-star Josh Peck for four years.
On November 22, he concerned several of his fans by posting his arm in a cast held up in a sling with the caption: 'Yup it's broken.'
He then took to the picture sharing social network to document the recovery process including the following surgery and getting his cast off.
